Spectroscopic ellipsometry in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/engineering\/photon-energy\">photon energy<\/a>\u00a0range from 1.2 up to 5\u00a0eV was applied in order to determine the ordinary and extraordinary complex\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/engineering\/dielectric-function\">dielectric function<\/a>\u00a0of GaN. A distinct\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/materials-science\/optical-anisotropy\">optical anisotropy<\/a>\u00a0is found over the whole energy range which is emphasized by reflectance anisotropy studies. The polarization dependent shift of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/engineering\/absorption-edge\">absorption edges<\/a>\u00a0is confirmed by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/topics\/engineering\/photoreflectance\">photoreflectance<\/a>\u00a0measurements and compared to band structure calculations for which the in-plane strain is taken into account.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Publication:<\/b> 2009<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"beteiligte":[],"class_list":["post-2680","publikationen","type-publikationen","status-publish","hentry","publikationen_category-physical-chemistry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/forschungsnetzwerk-chim.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publikationen\/2680","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/forschungsnetzwerk-chim.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publikationen"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/forschungsnetzwerk-chim.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/publikationen"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/forschungsnetzwerk-chim.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2680"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"beteiligte","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/forschungsnetzwerk-chim.de\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/beteiligte?post=2680"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
