Catena-X aims to transform the automotive industry through a trusted, collaborative, open and secure data ecosystem. Key features are:

  • Equal, sovereign partners without lock-in effects
  • Sustainable solution for the digitalization of supply chains, also for SMEs
  • Promotion of cooperation and collaboration between market participants and competitors

The mission of Catena-X is to enable the digital flow of information along the entire supply chain. This enables more flexible supply chain management, the determination of the integral CO2 footprint and traceability in accordance with the Supply Chain Act.

Catena-X is a collaborative endeavor that works through the participation of many players. The aim is to establish a global network that enables new value creation through the cross-company use and exploitation of data, thus creating new business models in the supply chain.

Technologically, Catena-X is based on a system architecture that guarantees data sovereignty and security as well as interoperability.
